Inland of Bali island has a drastic difference with the beach area. The inland area still preserve the local Bali lifestyle. You will get to see a lot of paddy fields and wood houses. Although at some of the tourist spot, there are restaurants and resorts built, majority of the areas are still very much the original Balinese. A great contrast to the commercially developed beach area.

We saw a terraced paddy field while on the way to Mt. Batur. What a spectacular view!
