- When need to take taxi or limousine at Denpasar airport, do not go for those who approach you. Go for those at the counter or hotel limousine.
- When looking for taxi on the road, go for those that turn on the meter. The taxi bearing “Blue Bird” is highly recommended by many travel guide. We observe that they turn on the meter without request.
- Try to avoid driving yourself. Rent a car with a local driver. There were cases that foreigner being blackmailed by local when caught in road accident, even though they were not at fault. With a local driver, such incident can be avoided. The local driver also can be the tour guide.
- If you are hiring a local driver cum tour guide, try to book it through your hotel resort. Avoid hiring someone from the road.
